So I'm discovering something interesting today. I have two of the standard 1850 mAh batteries for my GN. One battery I get great performance off of with the phone, data connection, doesn't get too warm, etc. That battery was running low and so I switched it to the other battery and found that the phone warms up more, and has intermittent data issues.

Anyone else notice this?

Just got my GN tues and purchased the extended battery with it. I just swapped out the stock battery for the extended one yesterday and noticed that the extended battery died in the middle of the night from a 90% charge. The stock battery at least lasted through the night. Not sure if it is apps that i am loading or not but the only new app i have on my GN so far that i didn't have on my fascinate is LightFlow.

I notice from reboot to reboot with the same battery (Extended 2100ma) my performance can change. Like yesterday and today for example:

Yesterday I had horrible data connection in my office and I was discharging at over 11% an hour.
Today I have a solid data connection in my office and I'm discharging at less than 6% an hour.

I keep my phone on 3G unless I need to download large files like Podcasts or Movies.

Why does this change from day to day?

I've always heard that batteries have worse performance through their first few cycles, and improve from there. This is only speculation, and I just upgraded to the extended battery yesterday. We'll see how it goes after I recharge it a few times.

The Nexus software updates need to come soon....

My phone died in 3 hours with 54% percent battery life. I literally took a nap and it was dead. I checked the battery settings and it showed 3 hours of no service. When I have service is either 4 blue or 4 gray bars( thats another issue). I checking the stats, it wasted 44% battery in that time frame from a pretty much a saturated service area.

Then to top it off, I plugged in the charger and it said I had 54% battery life, and said it was charging, then I notice the battery getting lower and lower. Pull the battery and powered back up to 12% percent battery life.

oh this is the 2100 extended battery.

Do you perhaps have wifi set on one day and off another? My battery life is way healthier when I use wifi at home and at work. Battery drain is super conservative that way.

Turn off 4G (use it only when you need the speed boost)
Turn off wifi (use it when you have wifi available always)
Turn off BT, use it when needed
Screen at 25% or less (unless outside on a sunny day)

I average 24 hours now on 1 battery (standard)
Girlfriend averages 48 hours on 1 battery.

Night 2 with the extended battery and it only used 30%, from 90% to 60%, over the 7 or so hours i was asleep. thats with WiFi, BT, and GPS turned off. Better then the night before but i would still expect the extended battery to preform better the using 30% of it power in 7 hours when not in use :-\

Yeah something must be amiss. I have the extended battery, and through a 7 hour night in airplane mode I lose only 5-7% of battery. Something must be keeping your phone awake.
