Different Colored Default Contact Pictures?

Hey guys, I've had the Galaxy S4 for a few months now, and I just realized that all off my contacts that I haven't set a picture for are all kinds of different colors. Some of them are red, some are yellow, some are green, and some are blue. Is there any known reason for this?

The Galaxy S3 was the same way with it's contact photos. I believe it's just Samsung's way of making the contacts page less monotonous.

The varying colors of the contacts is not random on my phone (Galaxy S5).
Each time I add a contact it selects the next color in the sequence...
Blue, Green, Orange, Orange
Blue, Green, Orange, Orange...

It just looks untidy in the Contacts list, and I see no way of changing it - apart from adding a contact a few times until it's the color you want, and deleting the unwanted ones. You could also create some simple color pictures to assign to each profile picture (if you don't have their photo)
