Different profiles when plugged in vs not?

Hi guys - i am quite certain this must have been asked before - and i did look - but isn't there a way to change the phone behaviour when it's plugged vs not?

Due to my massive disappointment and frustration with the battery life when i first got my EVO I have completely trained myself to be extremely power-stingy. All ym settings are down, radios are only on when needed, i use Watchdog etc...
but obviously i don't need all that when it's plugged in.

my original Zach Morris cell in the 90s had this option, the EVO has to have it.

or should i go straight to some of the profile apps?

I have searched and gave up on it myself. After having a Blackberry anything that I found just came up short. Would love to have the same features that my berry did when placed into the desktop charger on my nightstand.

Check out Locale and the many plugins that are available for it.

yes - i have seen that app and it looks like it would do what i am asking about, however i'm not willing to pay $10 for options that should come stock on my phone...

Maybe settings profile lite will work for you then. And no, your EVO does not have it built in.
