I had someone's Lenovo M10 FHD next to me, and I tried the stylus from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 on the Lenovo tablet.

I noticed it didn't work.

All I wanted to do on the Lenovo tablet was use the Samsung stylus to push icons/links/keyboard characters.

However, the stylus that came with the 3rd party Lenovo tablet cover, as a bonus item, did work.

That lead me to find out that apparently styluses have different technologies? So that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 stylus works differently than a 3rd party stylus with a rubber tip? If this is true, can someone briefly explain how the different stylus technologies work?

My main question is that this person wants a stylus that feels like Galaxy Tab S4 stylus, but will work with the Lenovo. Does such a stylus exist? It's only about how the thickness and approximate length of the Galaxy Tab S4 stylus that this person wants replicated, but working on the Lenovo tablet. This person says that the Samsung stylus feels better to hold.

This person only wants a stylus for pushing buttons / typing, etc. Not for any drawing or screen capture, etc.

The Tab S4's stylus is an S Pen, which uses different technology than a standard capacitative touchscreen stylus. See here for a discussion on how the S Pen works: https://www.androidcentral.com/how-...curate than a capacitive stylus could ever be. Most other styli are simple capacitative styli that mimic the touch of a finger.

I don't believe the Lenovo M10 supports any kind of active stylus like the S Pen. There might be some workarounds you can find on Amazon, but they tend to have very poor reviews. Your friend is pretty much stuck with the standard capacitative stylus.

Thanks.

Is there a capacitative stylus that has the size of the S-pen? That's all this person wants, something which feels bigger to hold.

In terms of length or diameter? Capacitative styli will always be significantly thicker than an S Pen, but you can search for "mini stylus" to fins ones that are shorter.

Capacitive styluses come in a variety of shapes and sizes, many are similar to pens, but none of them will have a small tip like on the S Pen.

If the capacitive stylus that came with the folio case is very narrow or uncomfortable to hold you can certainly find something much thicker and comfortable to hold like a traditional pen.

We used to use that style at Verizon, the company put our upgrade systems into iOS and required customers to sign contracts that way before the Apple Pencil. We were desperate to find the best stylus and this was slightly better for signatures because the clear disk helped you see as you write but otherwise that rubber disk flops around at all angles and is annoying to use until it eventually falls off.

My daughter tried a stylus like that, and it wasn't a great experience. Although the tip is thin, it still needs that larger disc to contact the screen.

Yes, the length and diameter look similar. I guess even if a few personal experiences aren't the best, it's worth trying.

Is something like this sold in the US?
