Hi,
New member, new to android, new to smartphones -- read: utter novice. Please excuse my ignorance.
I want to disable the battery "fully charged" alert. I've read lot's of posts (e.g. http://androidforums.com/samsung-droid-charge/371301-dialing-code-string-droid-charge-fascinate.html).
For some reason the procedure doesn't seem to work for me. Tried many times to do:
Click "phone" app
Enter: *#83786633
Click "home" button, "phone" app
Enter: *#22745927
If I understand correctly at this point a dialog app should appear and allow me to enter SPC code 000000, but on my phone it just sits there. I've tried adding trailing *, *#, and #, clicking dial, returning to home after *#22745927, both vertical and horizontal orientation, all to no avail.
In "Settings > About phone" it says I have
Model: SAMSUNG-SGH-1777
Android version: 2.3.6
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7
Any thoughts?
