Digital radio works over WiFi but not data

Hi, I have a samsung galaxy note 3, and I'm in Sydney. I couldn't find any forum where people have the same problem as me.

I have tried using the tunein app, other specific digital radio apps, and various browsers (via the website for a specific radio station). I have also tested various radio stations. In each case, digital radio works over a wifi connection, but it doesn't work if I'm using data.

Drives me nuts, since the only time I listen to the radio is when i'm out.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

ps. I asked a guy at the Samsung store in the city and he couldn't figure out the problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Look in the system settings for anything that might limit mobile data. Concentrate on the Settings>Wireless & Networks menu, especially the section for Mobile Networks and Data Usage.

I've just called my service provider to check if I'm using the correct APN. They gave me a different one. I've now tried the radio using the new APN and (fingers crossed) it seems to be working!! Hopefully that will continue
