Sent my phone in for a repair because it was overheating a lot, which still wasn't fixed btw when I got it back, but the notification light is noticeably dimmer than before. Is there something I can do to fix it? Because I do not want to have to send my phone in again.

The notification light could have been damaged during the repair. If you sent it for repair to LG and it was returned like that then I would suggest sending it back even though you don't want to. It's better to have them replace or fix it so that you don't have issues down the road.

Yup, it can be a damaged light, a damaged plastic cover or that the LED wasn't placed correctly under the face plate. If the light pulsates or has noticeable variations in intensity, it could mean that some of the wiring to the power source wasn't done properly (like bad grounding), and that could lead to potential failures or short circuits.
