Dimming Screen

Hey All,

I got my new Huawei watch yesterday and loving it.

However, one thing that is annoying me is the auto-dimming. I move my arms around a lot for work, and every time I do, the screen lights up. This can't be good for the battery life. I only want the screen to light up when the screen is touched. I have tried turning off wrist gestures, to no avail.

Any ideas?

On phone open Android Wear app. Click the "gear" icon (just left of the 3 dots), click on Huawei Watch>Turn off "Tilt to Wake Screen"

I have an exact opposite requirement :)
I want to be able to control/customize the auto dimming time period...
I mean can I prolong the auto dim to say 30 sec or 1 min.. Can't find anywhere in the settings...

Thanks

It depends upon what watchface you are using. On some of the watchface apps, they give you an option to change the stay awake time (Pujie and Watchmaker Premium are examples that have this option).

Oh i See !! Thanks for this info.

So the orignal watch faces that came with the watch, i can not customize it ? right ..
Is there any way or any app that can make it possible ?

There is no way that I know of to customize any of the stock watch faces.

Another useful thing i've found for the OP's requirement, is a double click on the button makes the screen black, and then it won't turn on no matter how animated you are with your wrist. Another click gets you back again. I think its actually activating cinema mode (Theater mode in the US). Looks useful for conserving battery, or when you don't want your watch lighting up.

Thanks for the tip! Mine shipping soon and can not wait.
