Looks like they turned the thing inside out. Nice, but I would have liked a darker shade of red, like the speaker and camera highlights on the Dinc1.

I just got off the phone with the rep that told me that mine would come with the 8GB SD Card pre installed as well as 4GB internal memory.
I asked him to make sure that we were talking about the same phone, he said "yes, the Red DInc II."
Every where I have looked the specs are the same.
I will find out Tuesday....

I got this phone yesterday (I'm not a big fan of red, but free is free!), and it's not really as brilliant a red as that picture makes it look, and with a 14.99 black silicone case, you can barely see any red.

I have a couple of questions though, if anyone else out there has this version?

The rep at the Verizon store told me it came with a 16 gb card, but it's only got an 8 in it, and the internal memory says it has 0.93 gb free, so I don't think it has 4 gb internal, unless I've got a bunch of weird stuff installed somewhere...?

Speaking of weird stuff, it comes with a couple of games, like some kind of golf thing, an NFL one, and a couple of other things I can't remember. Anyone been able to figure out how to uninstall these? I have a PSP, DS and DSi, so I don't need to play games on my phone. I'd much rather free up the space.

Next, my sister has the original black version of this phone. I had seen something online a while back about the icons at the bottom rotating when you turn the phone to landscape, so I checked hers, and couldn't get them to do it, but my red version does. Is it just something she's got set weird on her phone? Or maybe it's that my phone has Android 2.3.4 and hers has 2.2 (I think)?

And lastly, this phone has a SIM card. Never had one that had a SIM card before... does the black version have it?

The SIM card is because it's a global phone - the SIM manages the GSM radios everywhere in the world that doesn't do CDMA.

My icons rotate on my black model - IIRC, they did it before the 2.3.4 upgrade...

Still the best phone I've EVER had.

the specs on all of the DInc2 phones are the same. 1gb of internal memory and comes with 8 gb external memory. If you were told something different you should address it with Verizon.

Those games are preinstalled bloatware and unfortunately the only way to get rid of it is to root the phone.

When I was looking for info on this phone the early reviews I found showed the rotation of the buttons on the black and that was with Android 2.2 so it should be working regardless of the OS. You could try updating her OS to see if that helps.

Yes, the black one has it, the SIM card is there because this is a "Global" phone, meaning that it can be used with phone services overseas. So unless you plan on going to Europe or somewhere else out of the U.S. you most likely never have a use for it.

Yeah, probably won't be using the SIM card anytime soon, just was curious if they all came with it. I played with my sister's phone for like an hour and didn't notice it. hehe

My sister's black phone came with a 16 gb card, I took it out and looked at it to see what class it was. Also, if I remember correctly, the specs Verizon lists on their site for the black phone say it comes with a 16 gb card and 4 gb internal. Not that big a deal, again I was just curious. This may be a promotion they're doing where they get a card off the shelf to go in the phone, but I didn't notice the agent do that when we got it.

Best phone I've ever had, too, I love it. The battery life is so much better than the original Incredible that I just upgraded from. So glad I opened that Verizon email instead of trashing it. lol

I got my Dinc 2 on the 16th of Nov. My mother got me a PRE Christmas present (blue Seudio case)...my Incredible came with 2.3.4...1g internal...16g external...comings from 2 1/2 years of BlackBerrys I am SOOOOO happy with ALL THIS MEMORY!!!!;)
