I am in the market for a new phone, i cant wait any longer for the thunderbolt. I am debating between the Dinc or the X, leaning more towards the X cause of the size. which one would you guys recommend, what are the goods and bads? I appreciate any help you guys can provide. Thanks again

Would recommend an X, you get more bang for the buck...the reason I chose it over the DInc back in July. However, both are old and coming up on EOL sooner rather than later. Perhaps waiting on the X2, Bionic, or Thunderbolt

You might want to go into a VZ store and try them both. The DInc is running Sense and the DX is running MotoBlur. Those are pretty different launchers; however, they can be changed by rooting and installing a ROM. Plus, the DX is a larger phone overall compared to the DInc, so it helps if you play around with both to see what you're more comfortable with. I prefer the DX, personally.

No way the Inc can make through a day without a charge. You'll probably get 4 to 6 hours. The X will run 24 to 48. The X has a bigger screen, way more memory and currently lives at the top of technological heap.

Also, the launcher situation can be significantly improved by using Launcher Pro Plus (the paid version).

You can have up to 7 screens with a rotating dock at the bottom with up to 15 slots where you can load your own app shortcuts. On top of that, you can add 15 more apps to the dock in the "swipe" mode. So, the dock can handle up to 30 (!!) apps to launch. You will be amazed how quickly you will fill 7 home screens, especially using the quality widgets offered by LPP (ex: calendar, people, facebook, friends, etc.)

For contacts in People, when you touch the photo of your person, you get a pop-up where you can choose call, open contact info, text, email or find the address on a map with directions.

My friend has an incredible and I have a Droid X. When we are at work, her phone has way less reception and it dies way faster than my X. That's what I have noticed. And of course, my screen is way bigger. I would go for the X.

Extended battery seems to be the biggest thing but there are options for extended battery so if your trying to decide and battery is your concern, there are other batteries.
Then it comes down to screen size and HTC sense or MotoBlur.

But on the other end, MotoBlur can be replaced with LPP, ADW or GoLauncher.

Did you post this same question in the Dinc forum too? Of course everyone in the Dx forum is going to say Dx, I just want you to get an unbiased answer.

I chose a Dx over the Dinc in August for reasons that mattered to me. You just need to decide for yourself what slightly different features are important to you, not anyone else. They are both great phones.
