Made the switch today. I loved the dInc, except the battery life, but I was so tempted by the X. On a whim, buying my wife an extend battery for her dInc, I grabbed an X. Awesome so far. Absolutely love the screen size. I just finished rooting it. Life's good....

Btw, the Fascinate's screen is amazing.

The screen does look good, but it seems everyone who has had a fascinate hates reading text with it. I need to see this for myself...

I have a Fascinate and i have to admit that the first few hours Inane it I did have issues reading text. However after I got used to the phone i don't have any issues reading text on the screen. One thing i liked about the droid x was the multi touch keyboard. Now i have it on the fascinate. I also took 5 minutes of my time and rooted, removed bing, and removed all the verizon bloat. Now it is perfect.

I probably won't do much a far as roms and themes go. I like the phone the way it is, but I will remove some of the bloat.

Are you guys putting lots of movies on your phone?

I too switched from the DInc to the DX. There is no way the 1Ghz is being using properly. I had an Evo and it was 10x smoother. And "Attenagate" is all over that DInc. I never had reception. I thought it was VZW when I switched and it was just the phone.I switched to the Droid X two days ago and don't regret it. The pre installed swype and the Moto Multi touch keyboards are nice. It gets 1400 (850 on Dinc) on Quadrant, 41-43 (24-26 on Dinc) fps on NeoCore, and 60 fps (56 on Dinc) on FPS2d. No question on that the DX is a much better device. Loaded up Launcher Pro upgraded to Plus and took of MotoBlurFail. Amazing device.
