I have the same "Direct Pen Input has stopped". It happened while I was traveling in United Arab Emerates. Within two days, Verizon sent me a message that my Note 3 had used $1,000 data roaming charge while I practically did not download anything myself. In panic, I thought the free Android applications I have downloaded might have been updating themselves without my knowledge, thus causing the huge $1,000 bill. I decided to uninstall or force stop many of the free applications.
At the same time, I bought a cheap local UAE phone to use locally. A local UAE friend suggested using a UAE local phone's SIM card to make my new Samsung Note 3 a local UAE phone to avoid the data roaming charge. He opened the cover, removed the battery and SIM card to see. He decided that the SIM cards were different size and not interchangeable. So he put everything back and suddenly the Note 3 is locked up by the "Direct Pen Input has stopped" message. It popped up constantly. I ended up not using Note 3 at all during the 8 day trip. I am trying to find a solution to solve this problem.
I have found separate posts that describe both the SD card/SIM card removal and the application removal as cause for this problem. Below is.another post from:

above is absolutely right and I have fixed the issue .

Can anyone tell me what is going on here and how to find "MyScript ResourceManager" and how to use it to correct the problem? Or any other solutions?
Thank you in advance.
By the way, Verizon should work out a deal with UAE for discount. UAE is a major business destination and charging Verizon customers $1,000 for 2 days without the customer's knowledge in usage is not reasonable.
