Directv app always awake? Why?

I have a new Moto X (2014) and I have the Directv app. My battery use details shows that my Directv app has stayed awake (but it is NOT active- it's closed out) for about 80% of the day, even though I only used it this morning to set two programs to record on my DVR. No streaming video, nothing like that. Has anyone else noticed this? I love being able to set the DVR remotely, but it's not worth it if my battery is going to be drained by the app for no reason. I checked the settings but I don't see anything obvious that I should change...

Does a reboot change anything? Sometimes apps get stuck for some reason, and a reboot corrects it. If the behavior persists, consider emailing their support: mobilefeedback@directv.com
