Android Central Question

My rear camera images have dark circular patches on them.

Yes, that could be some kind of internal contamination.

Hi, I made the opening post. How do I fix it? I'd like to remove the glass, clean it and put it back. All the how tos on the web are for cracked glass. I need to remove it without breaking it.

Welcome as a new member.

It depends on where the contamination is. If it’s dust or water condensation drops anywhere other than behind the front glass, it would really require a replacement camera module.

How you’d get at the front glass to clean it, if that’s where the trouble is, would depend on the phone.

If the dirt is behind the glass or behind the lens, it's not going to show up as nice circles - there's nothing to focus them on the sensor. (Anything closer that a foot would show up as darkening the whole picture, as if you had closed the iris down.) I suspect a bad sensor. If the phone is out of warranty, you'll probably have to pay to get the camera module replaced.
