Android Central Question

Pretty much the title. I have a galaxy s9 and I recently installed bxactions to remap my bixby button to open Google assistant. However, the home button long press still opens Google assistant as well and for the sake of simplicity, I would like to turn that function off.

I've already tried going into settings and choosing the "None" option in the device assistant app setting (which determines what happens when you long press the home button). However, this completely disables Google assistant and makes pressing the bixby button do nothing.

Basically, I want to disable the home button long press without disabling Google assistant altogether. The fact it seems like you can't do this is ridiculous....

Any help or suggestions is appreciated!

Welcome to the forums. We discussed something similar in this thread.

As you said, it seems an all or nothing situation. The only 'solution' we found to disable the action is disabling completely the assist app, which is not good for you.

I'll move your thread to the S9 forum where it'll be easier getting help from other owners.
