Disable LG Software Update

Hi, I disabled all the LG apps on my LG G5, but LG Software Update keeps trying to update the apps.

Is there a way to disable this software update so it doesn't keep trying to waste my time?

All I want are the Android updates from Google and the other updates from the Google Play app store.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean it's trying to install a system update, or it's trying to update preinstalled LG apps? If you can't Disable it in Settings>Apps, then you'd probably have to root the phone to Disable it.

It says LG Software Update, so I assume that it must be just for the LG Software, or it would say Android System Update or something like that, right?

I'm not sure if it's for LG apps only, or if it's LG's version of the system updater -- this kind of thing can vary between devices. If you go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu, then Show System, do you see any other system apps that look like they could be a system updater?
