Disable Message+ pop up

Hi, new to android after several years of being an iPhone user. When I receive a text, whether while using my phone or just after pressing the home button on a locked screen, a preview of the text is seen in a pop up box, allowing me to respond in it or let it disappear. Just for privacy sake, I'd like to disable this message pop up, but after following several different instructions, I can not find the option to turn off "pop up display" in my notifications. Is this something this phone just does not have or am I missing it.. thanks.

settings, then notifications, and then you go to the message app that u are using and it should be a area that say show on lock screen... you did those steps ?

Yes, I have 4 options when doing that. "Allow notifications", "Show silently", "On lock screen", and "Set as priority". From everything I've seen, it should have "Pop up display" right under "Set as priority" but it is not there.

did u click on the section that say on lock screen... from there options will drop that should say show content .. hide content...do not show notifications.... it should be there

Yes, I was able to figure it out. Open messages as if you're going to write a text, then click the symbol in the top left corner, settings, enable pop up...toggle on or off. Thank you for your responses.

Did you ask Bixby to disable the popup feature?
