Disable phone audio when connected to BT speaker?

When I have my S9 connected to a BT speaker, notification audio plays from the phone and the BT speaker at the same time.

Is there a way to disable the phone's sound when it's connected to Bluetooth speaker?

In the BT speaker only? Probably not. Totally? Turn the phone volume all the way down. The phone has 4 volume controls. Call Volume is one, Media Volume (which is probably what you're listening to) is another. I don't remember how you get to them in the S9 - maybe someone else can chime in. (Holding the volume control all the way up for a few seconds may bring them up.)

I put my phone on Vibrate when using speakers.

There are 3 settings - normal, vibrate and off. But vibrate and off affect Bluetooth on some phones.
