Disable Screen Wake on Incoming Notification

Whenever I receive a snapchat or an sms my screen decides to wake. Is there anyway to disable this?

Well, that's the purpose of having notifications. You can either disable notification for those apps or turn do not disturb on.

Well no I'd like to be notified if Im using my phone, and I'd like to be notified via LED or vibrate or sound or all if I choose to but I don't want my screen to turn on necessarily.

I have AOD enabled and just confirmed that, for an email notification at least, the phone did an audible and turned on the LED but did not light up the screen. Not sure if the same will occur with your apps but might be worth a try.

It seems to only effect snapchat and sms. So weird.

You can disable Wake Screen for Snapchat in its settings.

You can turn it off in Messeging, too. Settings/Notifications/ turn off Pop ups.

I tried that still turned on. The snapchat setting worked tho!

Odd. My screen doesn't come on with incoming messages.
