Disable Sounds

Anyone know how to disable the Verizon sound and Samsung sound that plays when you turn the phone on without rooting? Super anoying.

I don't think it can be done without rooting. Post this question in JaeKar99's Themes, ROMs, kernels, boot animations thread. It is stickied over in the Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks section. If anyone would know that answer for sure, he would.

You can turn off system sounds in the sound menu...but then you will lose all of the system sounds...

I use an app called Silent Boot. Works great.
