Disabled samsung keyboard- now can't turn on my encrypted s3

I was going to suggest copying a ROM zip file to your SD card with a card reader, and trying to install that from recovery. Let us know how it goes.

It worked! i installed Synergy ROM from here (☆ ★ | ROM | SynergyROM VZW S3 | JB 4.1.2 | Floating Multiwindows! | Mar 30 r443 |★ ☆ - xda-developers). This installed some apps and most importantly the keyboard! Such a relief.
Then I booted to download mode and used ODIN to install stock OS from ([GUIDE][VZW Edition]How to root your Galaxy SIII & More!(ROMs/CWM/Stock) - xda-developers).

Okay only remaining question from synergy back to stockish why...and no prob just recommend two nandroids one on trwp amd one in cwm as a .tar file so as long as you retain root you can reatore in a single cwm or odin flash with same file

Back to stock img from synergy coz it was not booting with synergy - maybe some bad or corrupt file/partition. but Synergy gave me the samsung keyboard to enter the encryption password.

Great news. Glad to hear you're back working again. I'll have to remember to re-enable the Samsung keyboard if I ever need to encrypt my phone.

Would def love to hear that and im sure BOBman would too....but if you have recovery mode you should ALSO be able to make dl mode take as well so if you have a working nandroid flash it or worst case take a naked flash from goo or rom manager and flash via cwm /dl or odin

Mine started working again. Not sure why it didn't want to accept my password. Oh well. I hope it doesn't get stuck like that again.

Hey love the synergy ROM but i downloaded the latest version on my PC it wont let me transfer the ROM from the laptop to my phone i check the drivers and everything all good...i also transfered the version of synergy ROM before the latest one and tried transferring that and that transfered fine...any words of wisdom please...thank you
