disabling 270 degree rotation

im cool with the phone going into 90 degree rotation (hope i got my degree turns right) and holding the phone so the buttons are in my right hand. im looking for a way to turn off 270 as i lay down in bed almost every night and browse the forums before i head to bed. ud be holding the phone this way, i dont want the screen to rotate in that way.

Menu, Settings, Display, uncheck Auto-rotate screen

That turns off the auto rotate so it will always display in portrait mode--does that work for you?

yea i know that but wont that disable rotation all together? i want it to rotate when u holding it your hands and the buttons are in ur right hand. not the opposite way

Yes, it will. I'm thinking you will have to enable and disable it depending on which hand you want to hold it in. There's an HTC Auto-Rotate widget you can use to turn it off and on quickly.

such a pain. i just want to disable it for only one direction.. ugh. im using extended controls so maybe i can toggle rotation on and off at night. hell, maybe ill just kill it all together, i barely use it. coming from a droid 1 i was so use to landscape mode.
