I have Verizon LG G5 and would like to know while in the App Manager, why isn't there an option to disable or enable apps?

I know some can't be disabled, but I don't see the option on any of them. I can uninstall, but I'd prefer to disable some of them. I'm just not seeing the option!

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Only the bloatware apps can be disabled. You click on each app and the app and you select will have either the option to uninstall or disable but not both.

I was having the same issue with my Rebel smarty and I would systematically close apps only to have them recalibrate and turn back on. Even after a force shut down. One thing I've been using on my computer is Opera web browser and found ou that have a smart phone browser along with other helpful tools which allows one to deactivate unwanted apps. Opera max is just a program.

Designed for your smarty, this app allows you to control what other apps you want to shut down or back up. it even helps you save data within the apps setting.. which in my view is a plus seeing how we're paying as we go but not monthly charges..

After I installed Opera max, things couldn't have been better, but just remember, there are many apps which can't be controlled or shut down no matter how hard one tries. it is the price we pay in order to keep the smart phone active and updated. One doesn't have to like google or google chrome.. but one should keep android apps running at all times.
