Disabling Knox on note 5 att affect if you could root or not?

I am aware that Verizon and att note 5 phones can't be rooted and bootloader locked. There is also a Knox counter that'll keep your phone from turning on after root. Would disabling/deleting Knox in the settings on the note 5 allow the phone to be turned on after root is you were to accomplish rooting it?

Would disabling/deleting Knox in my att note 5 settings remove that restriction to root and being able to turn on the phone after root?

I honestly don't think it's that simple, otherwise both models would have root.
