Anyway to disable the memory and battery killers on startup?

Not automatically. Only way to do it is by rooting the phone and removing the bloatware.

Other than that, a stock phone will start up anything, and even if you forcestop it, its only temporary. App Killers are ok to use, but won't help manage to keep them off permantly unless you root the device and remove the bloatware.

Autostarts

It requires root access. Allows you to stop apps from starting on their own in various situations (one of which is startup). You can still start them on your own, it just won't start up automatically if you've disabled it for a certain situation (when that situation arises). I just got it and it works. Worth the buck.
