Disabling my places

I have a galaxy s6 and i normally turn off location due to the crap battery. And every day I have a notification from my places telling me it needs location access. I don't want to use this I just want it gone. I can't find any way of disabling it and I was hoping someone could help as it uses a lot of battery when I do use location.

Go into system settings > applications > sort by all > My Places (or the name of that app or service). In there you may find an option to disable the app/service.

My s6 doesn't allow me to disable notifications or to disable the app. Anyone know what else I can do?

Open google maps.
Open settings.
Choose sign out.
Done.
You can still use google maps*
