Disabling Updates

Is there anyway to disable updates? My phone keeps restarting, and when it boots up, ClockworkMod is showing an aborted installation....any ideas? Thanks.
 
I see two options... flash a custom ROM... or flash the latest rooted version of VZW's Thunderbolt ROM.
