I have 6 fans in my home, and one fan in another home. I've had a hard time naming the 6 fans such that I can easily turn them on and off with my Google Assistant. What finally worked is, for the rooms that have their own assistant assigned I can just say "Turn off the fan" or "Set the fan to speed 2". This has worked for the last 6 months or so. However, it's not working so well. What is more bizarre is almost any command to set the fan to a specific speed, it does it in my other home. For example: "Hey Google, set the fan to speed 2" response: "Okay, setting Ceiling Fan to speed 2." Except - Ceiling Fan is the fan in my other home and my wife now thinks we have a ghost. Why would it ever do that? I currently have the fans named Fan 1 to Fan 6. It is hit or miss (mostly miss) whether addressing them by this name works (6 months ago, haven't tried lately). It seems this should be easy. Is there a right way to do this?
Thanks,
Eric
