Disappearing Playlists

For the 3rd or 4th time in not even a year, my playlists have completely disappeared. I didn't install any new music players or updates or do anything else of significance.

It's a pain in the butt to recreate all the playlists. Anybody know what could be causing it or have a way to circumvent it by storing them some other way or something?
