I can't believe as popular as this phone is that the accessory selection is still sub par. What I really want is an "in between" battery from stock and the seidio that is available. I had a bad experince with the quality of a seidio battery for my droid incredible and would like a samsung battery around 2200 mAh. I would like something that either adds no bulk or adds a little bulk akin to the 2100 mAh battery available for the galaxy nexus or the setup for the droid maxx. The 3200 is just way too bulky.

I think you over-estimate Sprint's footprint. While it may be the prime device for Sprint right now, that doesnt mean people are buying it over cheaper Evo 4G (yes, the original), the Epic 4G, and other cheaper phones. Also, because of Sprint's smaller subscriber base, the numbers of those Sprint customers who also own an E4GT are relatively smalll when compared to other devices.

And it would be nice if they would make all Galaxy S II's with the same battery, so that the aftermarket can make one accessory that applies to many phones, increasing the potential of demand because it would combine all subscribers across all carriers. But that is also not the case. (look at the difference between the supposed Galaxy Nexus on Verizon and the true Galaxy Nexus International version).

With all of that said, I would also like an increased capacity battery that fits in the same battery compartment. But it looks like the PowerSkin external sleeve case might be your best bet.

Thanks for the info. Just saw on the website that powerskin is coming for the epic 4g touch. If you sign up for the mailing list they will let you know when it's reayd and send you a discount code.
**** - link doesn't work anymore and I can't find the info on the site. Not sure if they canceled it or not.

If you're still looking for a battery Mugen Power makes a 1950 mah battery, no need for a humpback battery door. I had a Mugen for my Palm Pre and it was excellent, I just ordered the Mugen and when it arrives I'll report back with a review.
[HLI-D710SL] Buy Mugen Power 1950mAh Extended Battery for Sprint Samsung EPIC 4G Touch

Not expecting a huge boost but it'll last a little longer and I can use my factory battery as a backup.

Ok, I'm still not happy with third party offerings. Anyone else slightly annoyed?

The only thing that I would like is more dense battery (even more so than the aforementioned Mugen), but all of the other accessories that I need, I have. What are you looking for that doesn't exist?

same long those lines but I would like a Samsung battery in between the one I have and the ones that are over 3000 mah. I just want more choices. I thought the power skin would have been a good option. I emailed them to see why it appears to be canceled. Also, can't someone make a slightly larger battery say 2400 mah but without a ridiculous hump? Id rather have the entire phone a few mm thicker than have a goofy looking hump. Anyway, I just think the options are more limited than I would like to see.

Finally got a reply from power skin that the project has been discontinued. Looks like no power skin for the epic 4g touch. And the lack of accessories continues
