Disappointing Case / dock / car dock issues

I just received my dock, car dock and samsung back with flip cover. The flip cover is great, and even with gorilla glass, I would prefer to have a cover. However with the flip cover you cannot insert the phone in the desk dock. It would have been so easy, but no, they did not think of that.

The other missed opportunity is a desk dock with a holder for the pen.

I am also disappointed with how you have to wiggle things to get the phone to sit properly in both the desk dock and the car dock.

Sorry Samsung, great phone, but you missed the boat on this one.


I would also like to see a back with a slide cover over the camera lens - it does get dirty, especially when you have young kids.

I see you're in Canada, but maybe when it releases here in the states on AT&T you might start seeing better accessories for it?

I am from Canada - but the phone is from HK, not released in Canada yet. Accessories from Expansys in the UK - Phone bought from SK telecom if anybody is interested, Aberdeen Mall in Richmond, BC.

I Ihope there will be better accesspries, I think the US/Canada release will be at the same time, both LTE versions, and I wonder if they are waiting for ICS - If I were a carrier, I would not want to release a phone and have a substantially different operating system come out within weeks of the release.

I am ex webOS, Android Gingerbread is an absolute disgrace of multitasking, clunky, unreliable, painful to use after webOS. But the wider range of Apps is worth is. webOS got it right that way, and hopefully Mattius Duarte who wrote the webOS interfface and is similarly the chief architect of Android ICS will fix it.

not to rub it in, but many threads on these topics which could have saved you from some disappointment before ordering. xda developers GNote board has an entire section on accessories. I also agree that once the ATT version is launched we will have a lot more accessories available for us here in North America!

Thanks, given that when I ordered 2 weeks ago I would have ordered them anyway - it is currently still the only car dock available.

Desk Docks seem to be coming out very quickly, but it looks to me like the new ones are generic, not limited by phone width which is great.

However, what is the 'GNote board' you are referring to. I have serched the web many times and seen nothing that stands out on this topic - best I found so far was this forum.
