Discharging using Dex

I've discovered that using Dex on my Tab S7 Plus with an external monitor consumes more battery power than even a 25 watt fast charger can provide. I never encountered that with my Tab S4. That is even with the tablet screen turned off. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I also had Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and headphones connected.

The tab, not the charger, sets the charge rate. You could use a 100 Watt charger, but the tab will still draw the same current. (Current isn't pushed, it's drawn.) (The S7+, though, can draw up to 45 Watts, so using a larger capacity charger might help.)

I worked all day via vpn using Dex. Had about 48% battery left at end of day. Charging indicator never once showed a charger was connected while using the Samsung USB C to HDMI adapter.
