Display corruption

I got my 64GB Aluminium this morning, but it looks like it might have a problem.
When the screen updates/scrolls, I get a lot of pixelated noise which can stay until the screen changes again.
I've taken a screenshot and the noise also appears on the screenshot, so it looks like it isn't the display itself that is the problem.

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

Yeah me too and a lot of other people are facing the same problem apparently. Contact huawei and they will replace your piece with a brand new one.

Odd, since it doesnt seem to mess up the Google search bar area of the screen.

Id almost call it a software issue more than hardware......

I'm inclined to agree.....I'll wait and see if it clears with the next update and a hard reset and return it if it doesn't.

Man, hope it clears up, mine is on the truck for for delivery now so hope there are no issues

Ya all these issues popping up is why i didn't mind waiting. Was hoping after reviews and first batch was out that they would have everything squared away. It's been over a month since launch and that is plenty enough time to button things up. With my device showing up today and these issues going around I'm a little worried.

Part of the problem, I think, is that there are true hardware issues (display panels with inconsistent coloring, etc) getting mixed up with stuff that might be software related (like the scrolling issue seen here, Bluetooth connectivity, etc)

Honestly I think we see this with every new phone when it gets released. The Android community is just more technical and vocal about things, and the Nexus portion of the Android community even more so.

This is a big part of the reason I sucked it up and paid tax ordering from Google. I figure if I need to RMA it within however long (factory warranty is a year?) Google will be more apt to help out than Huawei.

Yeah, I will have to really inspect my phone once it arrives for hardware and or software issues. Fingers crossed there will be none

Look through any forums for any phone ever made and there will always be issues. This one included. It sucks if those issues pertain to your phone, but doesn't mean they're all like that.

Update: I reset my phone and thought that it had gone away.
It has started to come back after around 2hrs use though.
It looks like I'll be returning this one.
