Has anyone noticed that the display uses like 80% of the HTC thunderbolt battery. If it used less everyonrs phone might stay charged longer.

If it used less power it would be alot smaller and nowhere near as nice!

So true.

To save battery, if you already haven't you can change the auto-brightness setting from auto to a constant 25%. When I did that I noticed some difference but since I carry a spare battery everywhere and have chargers pretty much with at all times I leave it on auto and love how bright and clear this screen is!

Keep in mind that it is displaying the amount of cpu TIME consumed, not that actual battery consumed. So that number is a little misleading.

Yea.. unless your running something while the screen is off (like phone calls or music) the display will always be the highest percentage.

you can adjust the brightness of the screen. I find I can run it in the 20% range while inside.
