Distorted Robot-Vocodor-like Phone Call Sound

I have a Bell SGH-i747 rooted with Paranoid Android 4.1.2, no over/underclocks Crystal 2 theme installed. It seems like (I think) I've narrowed the culprit to Voxer, after using that app, anytime I try and make a normal call...everything is extremely distorted. I can fix this with a reboot. Is there another alternative to rebooting? Something like a Pulse Audio Reset option? I don't even know if that's a legitimate option or not....it just reminds me of the HP TouchPad audio distortion problem, and that was a fix for that, so I was thinking there might be something similar to that fix. I've also had this happen a few random times with no known trigger.
