my xperia z1 compact developed an issue where it was unresponsive in the lower part of it. Because the phone is quite old and not supported by Sony anymore, I bought a replacement and gave it a go myself.
I thought it went well, but after a few hours the screen starting getting loose. THe replacement screen came with a new double sided adhesive sticker, and as far as I can tell this is still sticking to the new screen well but completely let go from the phone body (apart from a little bit at the top of the phone which is still holding it together).
I ordered a new adhesive, but wamt to prevent this from happening again. Does anyone have experience with this. Is the problem that I didn't clean the phone after removing the old adhesive? And what is best for cleaning? Do you need to put weights on the screen and leave it overnight?
