DJ05 super clean .9 mms problem

I have a problem with sending/receiving just MMS messages, in-network, since installing the DI05 modem/kernel and the JT super clean 0.9. Its not a modem/radio problem since SMS works great and in fact i can receive MMS from off-network people and they show up fine. This issue is pretty cloudy since a lot of people have full SMS/MMS problems if they dont update the modem/radio on their phone to the DJ05 version. Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Here is a link to a solution I found, I am trying to test it out right now: Fixing MMS on Clean .9 ? New Tech & Software Daily

After more searching, I found a link to the same thread on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884158

for clarification, which kernel are you using?

Right, sorry, I am using the "11/12 test kernel" that was billed as the "original DJ05 kernel" but is apparently a JT creation. I tried the stupidfast kernels and none had good battery life (even the "stable, good battery life" version) so here I am...

I have JT super clean .9 and when your in a call and need to enter numbers the screen goes on then off when you try to push the number. what could be wrong?

Amazingly, there is a process called phoneinfo that needs to run in order for that to work properly. If you kill that off or have a process killer that does it, your phone will behave very badly on calls. Weird, huh.

If I am reading this right you can send and receive sms via mms.apk but it FC's when you receive an mms?

If so, I had the same issue and tried many a different fix. What ended up working was searching mms with root explorer and deleting everything that was listed (a few cache folders, some db folders, the apk, settings, I think about 6 or 7 things in all), then I reinstalled the fascinate mms.apk via the mms.xip file available under jt's section of Rom Manager. All is well now.

No, it just doesn't work. I tried the Mms.apk bundled with the JT clean rom, and the Mms.apk from the de-odexed original DJ05 release, both do the same thing. SMS comes and goes fine. I can MMS off-network (Such as to an email) and it goes through just fine. I can see MMS from people off-network (such as with an att phone) but when I try to send a MMS to a VZ phone or get one from a VZ phone, it doesnt go through. I get a positive indicator on my phone when sending (the timestamp appears) but the receiver never sees anything. For senders (with a BB) they get a kickback that the MMS didnt go through.

MMS Problems on DJ05

If you are having MMS problems while using the DJ05 build, you may not have flashed the proper Modem/Radio update for DJ05. This can be found in the xda developers forums. Just restore the backup I assume you made before you flashed the DJ05 Rom and Kernel, then Flash the DJ05 Modem through odin. Then flash the DJ05 Rom and Kernel of choice. Hope it works for ya!

Thanks, but I most certainly have the DJ05 modem installed. I feel like I am the only one using the 1112_novoodoo kernel though, which has me worried, I really don't want to get dragged into the Voodoo5 or stupidfast worlds just to have a fix. This kernel is great on my battery and doesnt cause trouble with anything else. I will probably just forget about this problem unless a solution comes forward, since I hardly ever MMS anyhow.

Ugh, after spending about 4 hours today trying to figure this problem out (for a feature that I, frankly, have a hard time giving a **** about) I have decided to close the book on this one. Good luck to anyone else who sees this issue.
