Hello All, I am very happy to be a member of this group. I have had a droid eris for the last 2.5 years and rooted it and flashed a froyo custom rom to it about 2 months ago. I did that because my upgrade status renewed on 9/3/201 and I was looking at getting a better android hardware phone. About 2 months ago I bought a viewsonic g-tab and rooted it and flashed a honeycomb custom rom to it. I have since reverted it back to a cm7 2.3.5 so I could try to get skype to work wth the front facing camera [not working yet]. I was using the rooted eris as ahotspot for the g-tab. It worked great. I now have the samsung fascinate, a $39 upgrade, to replace the eris. Can't get the 3G hotspot to wor without another $20/month to verizon. So I am looking at rooting the fascinate to be able to use the hot spot feature.
