DL30 trying to MOD using Blackhole and others

Alright I have followed the directions to get DL30 on my phone. I upgraded from DL09. I had the Voodoo lagfix on DL09. I disabled it like I was told. Put the Red CWM using odin on my phone. Booted and rebooted. Flashed DL30. No problems. Rebooted. Phone does not force closes. No problems at all with the original leaked DL30.

My problems occur now when trying to MOD my phone further with the Blackhole V4.01 or any of the other ROMs available here on the site. Now when I boot into manual recovery mode, I still have the voodoo lagfix red recovery? I flashed with a non voodoo kernal and replaced the recovery with CWM red.... is this what I'm supposed to see? if not how do I get rid of it to move forward?

When I apply the update.zip from SD card, I get the original green CWM? Am I supposed to have this?

Now I have not been able to build my own ROM from Blackhole. I am not sure why. Getting download errors from multiple sites. Probably just a website download error from their website host. Anyone else experience this issue?

CWM Red = Voodoo Recovery. They are one in the same, but CWM red was modded to support nonvoodoo kernels. So you can use it... However, DL30 doesn't operate on the same kernels that CWM (red, "old" green) do, so that's where the "new" CWM comes into play.

the reason you still have red CWM is because you flashed it back after you had disabled voodoo and flashed the non-voodoo kernel. XDA is down right now, but there is a new green cwm you can flash and all should be good. let me see if I can find the link to the new cwm for you. I have flashed the original DL30 leak with the old green cwm and had no problems, but I'm not sure if it will work fully with the DL30 roms. you will need to flash this new green cwm for ROM manager to work with it and DL30.

the blackhole issues on rom manager are fixed now. he had a few files that pointed to the wrong location. all good now

The gingerbread keyboard is not being redirected still. I'm still messing around with what ROM I might like. As for superclean 1.0. I like it. I got it on, but I want to try more before I settle. Thanks guys.

yup, that was expected. I see you were also able to flash super clean 1.0 just fine, so I'm guessing everything is ok now?

I'd also like to thank you guys. Wasn't getting a straight answer to my own issues regarding CWM red and the new_cwm worked perfectly. Happily chugging along on Superclean

hey guys, new cwm that you should flash instead:

[RECOVERY} Updated ClockworkMod for all (non-voodoo) ROMs - xda-developers

you can flash via odin or whichever cwm you have

That is correct. I was able to get to superclean 1.0. I felt adventurous after that too. Backed up my ROM from superclean and then started to try Blackhole ROM. Awesome performance. Get higher quadrant scores without voodoo than ever. However now my texting doesn't work. I flashed back to my backup and my texting doesn't work still. GRRRR. I'm not going to worry about it though. I know a fix will come in the manager and if not I will read like I always have and see if anyone gets a fix posted. Thanks for your help and your dropbox file.
