Was trying to share media from my Evo to my Logitech revue or Playstation 3. It seems only media that is actually saved on the phone will display on my tv. Shouldnt media from the sd card display as well? Please advise

Don't use media share. Pull up your app list and you should have one called "connected media" use that to choose your pic,video,photo, and then choose the desired player.

Media share works for me when sharing pics to my xbox whereas "connected media" doesn't work at all.
