does anyone know of a way to connect my sharp lcd, with no dlna, to the epic's dlna to stream media. some sort of usb stick or something else? thanks

Here you go, these people are asking the same thing. Apparently, a usb dongle will work just fine and they mention some adapters in the thread.

You will need a Xbox 360, PS3, or DLNA certified Blu-ray player.

Oh, I see. I only got to skim over the thread, so I wasn't completely sure if they were talking about general adapters or Samsung specific adapters.

Assuming the Epic 4G will acts as a DLNA file server, yes. Although I have read that the Samsung Movie/TV download app won't allow for DLNA streaming, don't know where I read it.

It does, through the AllShare app. It gets recognized instantly as long as both are on the same network. If it doesn't immediately pop up, search for media servers from the individual menus on the ps3 (video, photos, music), and it should pop-up shortly after.
