It is, but here is the catch. All carriers know about it, and updated builds of ROMs circumvent it. Foxfi tries to exploit a weakness in the ROM, and the carriers close it, and it keeps on cycling. You can try PDA Net, or going back to an older version of Android.

Unless things have changed since last month the first comment that comes up on Google play says that PDA Net works for the DNA.

Yes it's compatible... I'm using it at home as we speak... I'm not rooted...

PDA net does not work on DNA unless you have purchased Verizon's hotspot service.
Download the app, if it doesn't work uninstall it.

Foxfi working for me also. not rooted. The free version worked fine, but I went ahead and bought the pro to avoid having to restart.

I have downloaded it.. Says that I need to call Verizon for subscription when I try to turn it on.. I have the paid version also. It used to work on my old razr max before jellybean.. What am I doing wrong ? It says that it is compatible with my DNA on the pdanet website..

Just installed it on my DNA worked right off actually worked better then the built in hotspot feature, uninstalled it did not like the fact you have to set a lock screen password.cannot figure why it does not work on yours is the phone rooted with a custom ROM.

Hmm.. It never gets to the point of asking for lock screen.. Don't know what is up..

This may be the difference in why it won't work possibly. I also had to agree to this for vpn access that the instructions said was required. Try uninstalling and reinstalling and agree to the vpn option maybe.

It doesn't ask me for vpn or security lock.. Goes straight to the need to call Verizon for tethering service..

Verizon has blocked the ability to use the DNA as a hot spot IF YOU DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THE VERIZON HOTSPOT FEATURE FOR $30 A MONTH. Yes there are still some phones that will work with Foxfi for free, The DNA is not one of them (unless you are working with old software).

I have the latest software and Fox Fi works as long as I install the certificate. I honestly don't use it that often, but works when needed.
