DNA Size question

I currently have a Droid X, which I'm happy with in regards to overall size and screen size. I want to upgrade, but I'm a little torn between the Droid DNA and the GS3. I've visited two different Verizon stores to check them out. I must say the DNA's display looks MUCH better. Each has it's pros and cons and I'm not here to start a DNA vs. GS3 battle, so I'll just address the DNA concern: My main concern with the DNA is the large size. I love the 5" screen of the DNA and even though I don't have small hands, I'm still concerned about the size. Also, I always carry my phone in my front pocket with no case. My Droid X feels fine, but it sometimes is a little snug in jeans (I do NOT wear skinny jeans).

The Verizon stores I've visited have an obnoxious tether attached to the demo phones. Because of this, you really cannot get a good idea of the feel of the phone in your hand. I'd really like to experience how easy it is to do various functions with one hand, but the tether attachment makes it near impossible. I'd also like to see what it feels like in my pocket, but that's out of the question. Is there a store with demo phones without a tether you can "play" with?? Those that have a DNA, do you pocket carry? Is it cumbersome?

Thanks.

Had a droid x, just got DNA. Just a little taller than X, and almost same side to side for one handed. Plus DNA is thinner so pocket would be easier. No camera hump. I carry mine in belt clip, but should be a better fit.

I came from a Thunderbolt with 4.3" screen. I'm having to re-train my thumb to reach just slightly further when typing one handed. While the DNA is considerably taller than the TB, it's only slightly wider, but considerably thinner. In my pocket the DNA actually feels smaller because of the thin-ness. It's also quite a bit lighter. In terms of physical size, the GS3 and DNA are close enough to call the same size. The screen size difference (0.2in) really isn't big enough to be a deciding factor, either. Screen quality in my opinion is considerably better on the DNA.

The difference is the Droid DNA has rounded edges and will feel much less birckish in your pocket, I carry mine the same way. I like the feel in the hand and I got smaller hands

I pocket carry and don't feel it's significantly more intrusive than the GS3. It does feel a tiny bit heavier in the pocket. I can do most basic things one handed but there's almost no way you can do everything. No physical home button and a fairly flush power button up top means a second hand to wake it up most of the time - at least for me.

I carry mine in my pockets (jeans/pants) both front and back, there have been a few cases where I forgot to pull it out of my back pocket before getting in my car.. luckly it's still straight and intact (I'm 6' 260) whew.. gotta stop doing that.
