Do an AOL on a line, get the deposit back sooner?

I was just wondering if I originally had to pay a deposit for a line but then a bit later I did an AOL to another person would I get the deposit back sooner or would it still take a full year ? Thanks

What is an AOL? Also my gut tells me that you will have to wait out the full year. I was researching this a year or so go. However I never paid a deposit as I could have had a line on either Verizon or att at the time. But I went with att instead.

AOL is an assumption of liability. It's when a person transfers a line to another person so they assume responsibility of ownership of the line.
