Do Android or File Managers limit the number of files that can be moved/copied?

Someone I know has 100K+ files to copy from an SD card to Google Drive. Does Android (10) have a limit to number of files that can be handled? Do Android file managers have limits on the number of files that they can copy/move?

A friend has 100K+ files he needs to copy from his SD card to the cloud. Are there limitations on the number of files or total file size imposed by Android or the device (Galaxy Tab S6)?

Even if there's no limit I'd still do it in segments, just to reduce risk. Additionally - I would COPY rather than MOVE the files, only deleting them from the old storage location once the integrity of the files in the new location has been confirmed.

File copy is done at the OS level - Linux, in this case. The limit is the amount of RAM (and the size of each file). What can fit gets copied. Then the next batch gets copied. And so on. (I'd copy everything to a local hard drive first, just to have a local backup, then copy from the drive to Google Drive by just syncing that folder to GD. (That way, if it takes a few hours to copy everything [remember, the speed is limited by the internet connection], it's being done in the background. Even if the computer [that that drive is in] gets turned off, when it gets turned on again, the folder sync will be continued.)
