Is my Pixel a fake or a copy? I bought it second hand.

Look at the navbar.

Looks like they are using another launcher. Go into settings, apps and see if you have pixel launcher. If so enable it. I personally would do a factory reset if I got a used phone. But that's up to you.

Yea looks like an unfamiliar launcher, BUT this is not to say your unit is fake. Although it MAY be. The launcher is not the end all be all way to tell.

Yeah... the home button is a little bit sketchy. The Pixel home button should have a concentric circle around it.

First, look in the About Phone section for anything out of whack. Then, turn off the phone... then, while holding down the Volume down button, press power. It should boot into the bootloader screen and that should look like this:

Fakes tend to be bad fakes.... they usually only rip off the case, install a AOSP build and a device's stock launcher and leave it at that. They rarely bother to get into the fine details... like device model names in the system info and bootloader and recovery software.

It looks similar, except the "Product/Variant". It says "sailfish-ROW-PVT".

I think I have solved it. The home button change when I set spanish language because the assistant is not available.

Oh, that's fine.... that might be the US vs International variant. If its a fake, it's a very well done one. It's probably real.

If I was buying second hand, I would go farther than a factory reset. I would go and snag the full factory image from Google and load that... that formats the phone completely and reloads everything from scratch. A factory reset only clears all the user data.

It was because the assistant was not available. xD

There ya go.... I've never come across a Assistant-less Pixel (being here in the US), so I had no idea that circle was meant to designate that.

Must be you HAVE to use a different ROM because there's no Google Assistant in your Country yet. Hopefully you'll get it soon, it's handy. :) Do you have Google Now? It works almost as good. :)
