Do I have to use Messages or Message+ on S5?

Messages vs Message+ on S5

Hi all. I'm new to android as of today.

I just got Verizon Galaxy S5.

Do I have to use Message+ or can I use regular Message App (the native one I guess?) on the phone? Thanks for the help

I use the Message app, not Message+.

There are a variety of messaging apps available and I'm pretty sure most of them can be set as your default

I used to use the stock app but have been using Message+ for about 1 month now and like it a lot more.. Seems snappier and looks great..

I tend to be on wi-fi at home and at work to save on data, and I discovered with the Samsung Message app any MMS messages wouldn't come through until I switched wi-fi off. Not an issue with Message+.

The Message+ app (Verizon) meets my needs so I prefer it. YMMV.

I prefer Message+ over the stock messages app as well.
