I have gone through 4 s6 phones through Verizon over the last year and a half. The battery or charging port has failed on each of them generally within 2-4 months. And they want to give me another one. I've told them to give me a different phone in all because I don't want to deal with this.

Am I literally just unlucky or is their something that's wrong with the batteries in the s6 overall.

Hi! I'm so sorry that this has been happening to you! I have not heard of this happening to many Sanaung S6 devices in particular; but nevertheless, I can definitely understand your frustration and hope thay things get better for you!

I would try to contact Samsung's online customer support to see what they have to say. Having four models of the same line with the same issue seems to warrant some kind of compensation or at least a response from the company.

Also, ask Verizon if any other S6 users have come in with similar issues.

Good luck, and let us know what happens!

I will contact Samsung Verizon won't actually give me anything but a replacement my original phone was Korean made Samsung 2 were Chinese made Samsung, and 1 was German market s6 and they failed and we're completely different units. They couldn't get the first one to charge even with wireless charger this one, that I'm typing on is also now starting to exhibit problems so i must be unlucky. Going to pray I get some kind of deal with Samsung because my phones out more than it is working. And I get so stressed.

Are you rapid charging using the factory charger that came with it? If so, STOP THAT! Rapid charging is a bad idea, it will cause more heat which will shorten battery life, and can occasionally melt your phone and battery. Many falsely assume that since the manufacturer makes it then it must be all good. Second thing is not to use the charging jack at all. Get a Qi charger and use that. I have had my S6 for 17 months and have used the charging jack perhaps once. I have Qi chargers all over the house, at work, and even the car. Anker makes a real nice one that goes for $13.99 on Amazon. A fast Qi charger is a bit more money and while it won't fast charge your S6, it will fast charge your next phone presuming you continue with Samsung or other Qi capable phones.

Oh no! This sounds so awful! I'm so sorry! Would you consider another Samsung device - maybe the S7 - or another device entirely? If you are really stressed over this - which is obviously valid and understandable, given the circumstances - maybe it would be best to have a few backup choices, just in case! Please keep us updated.
