Android Central Question

Or will my Gear 3 Frontier automatically connect without a sim even when my one is far away from me

I moved this to the Gear S3 forum for more specific traffic.

If you purchased the LTE version, you will need another line and phone number with your carrier in order to maintain a connection to your phone and make/receive calls.

If you don't get another line/number, it will behave just like the Bluetooth version.

First thing, if you would, create an account so we can track the conversation better, then post back here.

Are you on ATT or VZW? I think they have different ways of connecting, but I think both utilize an e-sim and I don't think you'll need a separate phone number, but you will have to add the wearable line to your account.

Hopefully someone with ATT and someone withy VZW will jump in here and help. My S3 is the BT model, so I'm running off other threads and memory, which could be dangerous in itself.

I have the AT&T version and had it for about a week before I could add the line to my plan. For that week, it behaved exactly like the Bluetooth version.

Vzw had to have a line with a number. But it's setup for line share now so calls and text come through like it's my phone number not the watch number.
