The time has finally come for me to part ways with my trusty V20. I'm thinking of selling on Swappa. After I FDR it, will the new owner be able to set it up and use it right away or will they run into that new security measure, where they have to log in with the Google account of the last owner?

re:

Factory reset should make the phone ready for the next user. IF you want to be super through, then you can remove the device from your Google account also....

https://myaccount.google.com/device-activity (Remove access from that device and any others you are no longer using)

re:

Make sure you sign out of ANY AND ALL Google accounts on your phone before you factory reset it. If one is still signed in during the reset, that's what triggers FRP.

re:

Remove the Google accounts (all of them if you have more than 1), then FR the phone. Run it and set it up and you'll see that you don't get asked for the old account. Then FR it again. (If you get asked, so will the new owner, so check to make sure that you removed all the accounts.)

I converted this to a Q&A so it might help others in the future with the same issue.
